Because DAMN, look at all these fucking photos i’ve taken of a puppy that isn’t even MINE. I have been in Chicago for a few weeks living with my temporary roommates and they have a puppy named BLU and she is beautiful and TIME-CONSUMING.

Here’s the thing y’all, I travel so fucking much I wouldn’t be able to take care of a puppy or even a well-trained dog. People have told me that i’d just need to get a dog sitter. Yeah, okay! Like I want to find someone to babysit my dog every fucking week? No thanks. I feel like many people get a puppy and they are not ready for the REAL responsibility of a puppy. They are more excited for the photo taking opportunities. I mean cmon. These are just a FEW of the photos i’ve captured.

The reality is yesterday, I let Blu out to pee or take a shit. Whatever her body desires before I head off to get myself some key lime pie. Then I let her back in the house. Do you know what she did to show me that she’s still a puppy? She took a SHIT in the HOUSE after i’d just let her out. Having a puppy is so much fun!

When you get a puppy you are making a sacrifice for better or for worse. Please be able to take care of yourself financially + emotionally before you make your dog eat Kibbles n Bits on the daily because you can’t make rent. Please have the time to take your dog outside and ON WALKS and not be forced to just rot inside your neglected apartment or house. Dogs should be free to play and explore and have the proper space to enjoy their little dog lives.

Just because you WANT a dog, doesn’t mean you DESERVE a dog. If you don’t have the proper resources to provide a dog a quality life then picking up dog sitting in your free time would probably be best. Reaping the benefits without the responsibility can sometimes be the more practical choice.

I will have a dog one day when I have a lot more responsibilities that force me into a strict routine anyways such as having a family. But for now, I will just continue to gawk at Blu (She has pretty good parents though so don’t get it TWISTED) until my time runs out in Chicago aka until next week.
